Goddog visits

This past weekend my goddog Zoe came to visit at our new house.
I think she must not have recovered from the time she bumped her head on the wooden desk in the corner because, as you can tell, she is still pretty... how do you say it... dumb, stupid and crazy.
When she first got here she was a little calm. Then, she saw us and totally started freaking out. But, after a while, she calmed down and was a lovable, crazy dog.
We took on a walk to Ann St., which is two blocks away, walked down that block and down Garfield to the apartments -- which is a good mile, I would say.
Then we had to walk back, the same way we came. When we got back, she was really tired, so she was cute.
My mom and dad were very happy because she didn't have any accidents, which was good. I really think she was too busy wondering what we were doing, sleeping on the couch and checking the floor for crumbs. There was really no time for an accident.

Braces

On Tuesday I got the most painful thing -- for now -- there will ever be -- braces.
My braces are lime green and light blue. When I was getting them I was more afraid of the big white plastic thing holding my mouth. Then, the big thing that could burn me if it touched anything other than my teeth. I should probably mention that that day I woke up really tired and a couple times the orthodontist had to tap me.
There are some good things about having braces. I have figured out who my worst enemy is... duh-duh-duh-duh! The spoon!
Because it is very hard to get a spoon in my mouth with braces.
On the day I got my braces, I had pizza pocket things. I was supposed to have peanut butter and jelly, but it was too peanut buttery. My friends knew I was getting braces. They thought I would go with some whacko color thing like black and purple. But I told them there were two reasons I wasn't going to go with those colors:
1) None of my outfits would match.
2) I hate the color purple! It's so related to pink.

Puppymania!!!

Tonight I experienced puppymania.
I started out looking for puggle pictures online and I found a lot. I also looked for golden retriever pictures, black and yellow lab pictures and I fell in love with all of them.
So, my dad told me to delete a lot of them.
I really did not want to, because they were all so cute but I decided once the other ones get old, I can find new ones.
We are FINALLY getting a house of our own and getting a DOG of our own. I have been waiting to get a dog for the last two years. We have been fighting on a name. I want Lorelai, Luke or Rory (they come from Gilmore Girls, my favorite TV show). I have no clue what the other ones want. I have just been telling everyone every day I want Lorelai, Luke or Rory.
Everyone else has been telling me it should be a name like Tucker, Zoe, Cash or Princess. My dad says that "Cat" would work as a name, but we are getting a DOG! Princess is also off my list because it is waaaay too girly. Zoe can't work, because my goddog is named Zoe. My cousin Morgan let me be the godmother to her dog.
Cash will not work because my godmother's (the one in Iowa) dog is named Johnny Cash, but we all call him Cash or Cashy Baby. Tucker doesn't work because our friends' dog is named Tucker.
So, all in the end, Lorelai, Luke or Rory would just be perfect.

Please welcome Buster the Bird!

Well, it all started when we said we were just going to "bird-sit" Buster.
Buster first belonged to our friends Matt and Emily and when they got married we promised to bird-sit.
We were supposed to give him back a few weeks ago, but we begged and begged to get to keep Buster.
Matt and Emily joked about how Buster is all of a sudden a good bird because he used to be the biggest scaredy cat you would ever know.
Now that he is with us, Buster just loves it. Maybe it's because we feed him almost every day?

My dog-sitting days

This summer I dog-sat two dogs. One is Zoe, who is in the picture. And the other one is Tucker, who you will see a lot in this blog. Zoe belongs to my cousin Morgan and Tucker belongs to our friends, Ken and Roxane.
Tucker is a cross between a beagle and a pug and Zoe is just a yellow lab who is very crazy. Tucker is a lot more laid back and sweeter and Zoe is more of a rough house kind of a dog. Zoe also barks a lot. My dad's probably still trying to catch up with his sleep after getting up at 5 o'clock with both Zoe and Tucker.
It was fun to dog-sit because I don't own a dog so it's very fun to care for dogs.

Whippet, Whippet good

This weekend, I got a book about all these kinds of dog breeds and my favorite one is a whippet.
Whippets are small greyhounds. I read that they are fast and very kind and gentle.
In the old days, whippets were bred for racing. That is why they are so fast.
Whippets have two kinds of speeds -- fast and asleep. My aunt Inger told me that and she took the picture to the right.
This is a dog named Daisy. It lives in an apartment in San Francisco.
When I grow up, I plan on having two whippets and one other kind of dog.

3 days I have to get up!

3,2,1... School's almost over!
I'm sooo HAPPY I could scream!
This summer I plan on swimming, seeing my cousin and reading and writing on my blog.
Maybe even visiting TUCKER.

A DOG NAMED TUCKER!

Yesterday I went to a party where I hung out with a dog named Tucker. He got ran over by a car and survived. I sat with him and petted him. He was so happy he was shaking.
I felt so happy to sit with him.
I am saving my money to buy a dog.

Arf! Arf! Hi!
